Uncompromising Craft

Roasting coffee is not just a process of applying heat. It is a commitment to unlocking the unique profile hidden within each harvest. We roast in small batches, relying on sight, sound, and smell to determine the exact moment a roast is complete.

Our Roasting Method

Every bag of Ember Coffee passes through a rigorous set of steps. We leave nothing to chance, ensuring every cup delivers a consistent, remarkable experience.

1

Green Grading

We inspect every shipment of unroasted beans to verify density, moisture content, and detect any imperfections before they reach the machine.

2

Sample Profiling

Small test roasts help us chart the optimal temperature curves. We evaluate multiple profiles to find the sweetest and most balanced expression.

3

Production Roasting

Once a profile is locked in, we apply it to our larger batches. Constant monitoring ensures that every single roast adheres strictly to our standards.

4

Resting & Packing

Freshly roasted coffee needs time to degas. We rest our beans precisely before packing them in specialized bags that lock out oxygen and preserve flavor.

Tested Daily

We run daily cupping sessions. Cupping is an industry-standard method to taste and evaluate coffee objectively. This rigorous routine ensures that the coffee we sell always matches the exact flavor profile we demand.

If a batch isn't absolutely perfect, it doesn't leave our roastery. We stand behind every bag.
